Product Description
Our Premium Kudzu Root supplement is standardized to 40% Isoflavones extract. Pueraria Lobata is also known as Kudzu and Japanese arrowroot in the Western world.

Kudzu Root is a great remedy for many health issues, but it is predominantly used to support a healthy relationship with alcohol. It is a perennial leguminous creeper plant native to China, Japan, and Korea. In the U.S., it is commonly known as “the vine that ate the South because of its invasive quality that enabled it to spread to up to 2.8 million ha across the southeastern part of the U.S. Kudzu Root has been identified as a significant source of unique and physiologically beneficial isoflavones [1].

It has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine in the form of Radix Puerariae (0.02% - 2%), an isoflavone-rich extract derived from the roots of Kudzu and may support a variety of health benefits for to support healthy ache and pain management, respiratory support, and a healthy relationship with drinking [2]. *
Product Benefits
According to ancient Chinese medicine, Kudzu Root has been used as an essential ingredient in supporting a healthy relationship with alcohol for centuries. Kudzu Root extract may be effective in supporting healthy alcohol management in humans [9].

Many studies reported that alcohol withdrawal is associated with disturbed sleep. As a balanced sleep and wake cycle is important to ensure normal physiological processes, many conventional meds are used to support a disrupted sleep. A study conducted by Bracken et al., 2011 suggested that administration of Kudzu Root extract does not disturb the sleep and wake cycle [9]. *

Kudzu Root is used as a source of starch and is rich in puerarin (4-7-dihydroxy-8-D-glucosylisoflavone) a major isoflavone compound. Isoflavones have the potential to support healthy cardiovascular function, bone health, cognition, blood sugar and optimal cell function. Other predominant isoflavones in Kudzu have been identified as daidzein, daidzin, and genistein and their C- and O-glycosides, most notably C-glycoside puerarin [4]. *
Nutritional Profile
The Kudzu Root contains a high amount of crude protein, crude fiber, potassium, and calcium. Incidences of sodium, chlorine, and sulfur are exceedingly low. Kudzu Root possesses various health properties due to the presence of high amounts of isoflavones. The Kudzu Root extract contains ten isoflavones: puerarin, diadzin, daidzein, glycitein, genistein, genistin, ononin, calycosin, biochanin A, and formononetin. Puerarin and daidzein account for 95% of the isoflavones in the extract. *
